Our Legacy

Stevensville is the oldest community in Montana. And our legacy stretches as far back as the river that runs through it. Lonesome Dove Saloon has been a staple in Stevensville for decades. It started as a place for farmers and ranchers to gather, share the day, advice and of course PARTY! In the mid 90's, the bar was purchased by Vic Ralls and Lonesome Dove Saloon upheld it's reputation for being the best bar in town. In November of 2019, Vic's son Rob wanted to bring that original spirit back to Stevensville and opened the current Lonesome Dove Saloon. So swing on by and meet Rob. Say hi to Tony the Manager (and town's best bartender) and give a pat to everyone's favorite bar dog, Po and let the good times begin.

Lonesome dove Saloon is located on Main Street in the heart of Stevensville. When there's a community event happening Lonesome Dove Saloon is a part of the festivities. From Western Heritage Days, First Fridays, Creamery Picnic and The Scarecrow Festival, Lonesome Dove Saloon is proud to be involved as a place locals and tourists congregate together.
